The Brief

cicreate was invited to pitch against six major production companies for the right to host an annual Global Ball, for a travel based company. Held each year to celebrate "the best of the best" in the global community it is, understandably, their most important event of the year. The brief was beautifully simple:

· To make it the best night the delegates would ever have

· To engender a true sense of celebration and achievement

· To give guests the feeling that the night would never end.

Relevant

· The setting: By the sugar white sands and emerald blue waters of Thailand, an exotic location worthy of "the best of the best".

· A multi-layered creative approach designed to delight the five senses

· Meticulous planning of "The Party that Never Ends", kept guests enchanted and amazed from sunset until 11am the following day.

Pre-event

· Guests arrived at luxurious poolside oasis to pre-function cocktails, Thai dancers, floating sanpans and the cool rhythms of a local jazz-fusion band...

· ...to be officially welcomed by John Travolta via a giant screen and a breathtaking fireworks display...

· ...before strolling through a fragrant garden tunnel to main party venue, led by Long Drum players and baby elephants.

The Awards Party

· The awe-inspiring venue included two huge stages, an immense dance floor and ever-changing mosaic stage centre piece...

· ...where entertainment was designed to constantly elevate the audience to new levels of pleasure.

· They played drums with the dynamic Sambuchai Drummers...

· ...were astounded by techno-dazzling laser light shows and dancers...

· ...experienced the riotous - MC extraordinaire Bob Downe, the rhythmic - internationally renowned recording artist Shaggy, and the rocking - Australian band The Screaming Jets, who raised the roof until midnight...

· ...before a supper and DJ set kept the party grooving until 2.00am...
